Ballstad is a working fishing village surrounded by the dramatic mountains and coastline of this remarkable archipelago. Hattvika combines authentic character with modern comfort, and above all, it is a place shaped by the outdoors. Fishing boats fill the harbour, traditional rorbu (fishermen’s cabins) line the waterfront, and the mountains are right on our doorstep.

Stay in one of our refurbished traditional red rorbu, a modern Hillside room overlooking the village, mountains or ocean, or our premium Elements cabins. Spend the day hiking, kayaking, foraging or exploring with one of our guides, then slow things down with a massage, sauna or cold plunge. Come evening, gather around the table at Restaurant FANGST, where seasonal ingredients and local produce come together in a Nordic menu.

Hattvika is a place for big days outdoors, good food, and a little time to slow down. It’s home away from home.

Our refurbished red rorbu capture the character of a traditional Lofoten fishing village, while the Hillside rooms offer contemporary comfort, private balconies and expansive views.

The waterfront Seaside Suites provide extra space, sea views and hot tub access, while our newest Elements cabins offer a secluded retreat with a private sauna, scenic bath and separate living area.
